Nexus 5

Can't deny that I had been keenly waiting for more updates on this particular device and so I finally have some good news to share. Apparently Google 'accidentally' leaked some of the info on this device on their Play Store. So here's what I have gathered so far about this eagerly anticipated model. The device is powered by  Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 800 chipset which they say is the best available right now. Google has collaborated with LG to bring us this powerful smartphone which might be available at quite an affordable price of $349. That's not bad at all considering all the features this beast of a phone comes with. Sadly the Rs 21499 that this roughly converts into may not be the price we'll get it for in India. So i'm anticipating something close to 30-35k. Anyways, the device runs the new Android version 4.4 "KitKat".

I'll list the specifications that have been recently unveiled.
General Features:
Brand: LG
Model Name: Google Nexus 5
OS: Android 4.4 KitKat
Processor: 2.3 GHz Snapdragon 800 , Quadcore
Graphics: Adreno 330
Display Resolution: 1920x1080p
Onscreen Resolution: 1794x1080p

Other expected features:
Display size: 5-inch
RAM: 2GB
Primary Camera: 13MP

So the Hammerhead is expected to be officially launched on the 28th of October. Let's hope it lives up to all the hype. People are also expecting the announcement of the new Nexus tablet with this model so expecting a double bonus.

Introductory post.

Alright... feels funny but I've actually managed to kick start a group for game development(Beginners only). Didn't expect this happening any time soon. Anyhow...We have a team and i'm really hoping that things work out. For starters, we'll try to pick up as much as we can with the limited resources and in the limited time we now have. We do have our hands full with frequent assignments and lab work so a dynamic approach in this case might be more suitable than the greedy one we're so used to.
Ok...here's what the current team looks like. We'll grab more people as things get underway. I think i'll go alphabetically...though that still puts me on the top.

Since we all are beginners and never really bothered with dedicated sites for ourselves so the above links should direct you to our Facebook pages.

So.. that's that. Feels great to finally get underway.... We'll all pitch in for the first game we develop together before settling down and dividing jobs based on individual's skill set, comfort and preference.

Ok. For the first game I've picked up a personal favorite. It's a game I first saw and played on Armor Games. Game Corp puts you in the shoes of an owner of a new game making studio with the objective of making quality games and competing with rival studios. It looks like a game we can handle for now though I can't say exactly how successful we actually might be. What we'll be doing is to try and replicate the game's concept for the Windows platform.

We'll be posting our progress here and you'll be hearing from my friends too. So that's enough for today. Ciao.
